I hope you've been enjoying these Prayer Journal days!  It's a way of broadening our understanding of prayer, and in today's video I talk a little more about the rest of the Lord's Prayer and the important human needs that it addresses in each petition.  Listen in and think about what each petition prays for the next time you pray the Lord's Prayer!

Welcome to the Friday Prayer Journal blog and song!  Today (and Monday) we're going to look at the Lord's Prayer since that's what's in our prayer journal right now!

It's such a wonderful prayer, given to us by Jesus, who has a divine perspective on what it means to be human, that is, God was fully God and fully human, so he has a divine perspective on being human!  And in this awesome prayer he addresses some of our fundamental human needs that he can see (and resolve) from a divine perspective!  Think of that as you listen to the video:

Today we have the second two principles of answered prayers - offering our prayers as an act of dedication, and being honest, very honest, with God.  Part of what I'm talking about is from John 15, where Jesus talks about us being the branches on the true vine, so if you can read through John 15:1-17 that would be great!  Here's the video:

Here's your Friday Prayer Journal video!  Prayer is such a huge topic that it'll take a while to cover some of the multifaceted areas of prayer.  Today just listen in, make sure you stick daily with the Prayer Journal reading and thoughts/insights, and it will build within you a much more powerful understanding of prayer!

Welcome to My Zion Prayer Journal!  Today is just an introduction on Tuesday, February 16, before our Prayer Journal begins on Ash Wednesday, February 17.  Use the Prayer Journal every day during Lent, listen in on a video and song each Monday and Friday morning, participate in worship on our Wednesday and Sunday worship services, and this (I hope!) will be a meaningful spiritual journey during Lent this year!
